Thank you so much for your interest in our contemporary worship team at Grace Church. The core vision for our team is to welcome people into a transforming encounter with the presence of God through worship.
We do not see ourselves as performers, but as spiritual leaders serving our church community with the gifts God has given us.
If your heart is for worship and you are interested in sharing your musical gifts with us, we would love to welcome you into our audition process.
Step one of the process is to share some basic information about yourself and upload a video of yourself singing or playing for us to view.
Below are all the resources you will need to prepare two songs to record and upload. You’ll also find a few questions we’d love for you to answer to help us get to know you a little more.
You’ll record yourself performing along with the provided backing track for each song.
Audition Resources
Each song includes the following resources to help you prepare:
Tracks in two keys (male and female):
Choose the key that best fits your voice.
If you are a musician (guitar/keys), please use the female key. Piano/Vocal sheet music is also provided in that key for reference.
Original recording (original key):
This is the original version of the song for general listening and reference.
Practice tracks (male and female keys):
These are the original recordings transposed into each key to help you practice comfortably.
Backing tracks (male and female keys):
These are the tracks you will use when recording your audition video. Please play this track while you sing or play. A click track is included to help guide timing and transitions between sections. On a typical Sunday, our team uses in-ear monitors to hear this click along with other supporting tracks — so this will give you a sense of that experience.
Lyrics (for vocalists):
Lyrics are provided to help you prepare and follow along.
Submission
Feel free to upload your videos and answer the questions at your own pace. Once you have submitted your material, our team will review it and follow up with you as soon as we can.
Please upload a video of yourself singing or playing both of the audition songs. If you have additional videos you'd like to include, feel free to upload those too!
