Confronting the Thief Within

We all long for lives filled with love, peace, and joy—but instead, we often find ourselves weighed down by anger, anxiety, shame, and fear. We chase validation, get stuck in unhealthy patterns, and secretly wonder if we’re the only ones who feel so broken. So, we push harder: following the rules, doing more for God, or trying to fix our circumstances. Yet none of it works for long. The truth is, the battle isn’t outside of us. It’s within. Each of us has an “inner thief”—wounds, fears, and lies that rob us of the abundant life God promises. This series is about naming that thief and discovering freedom through Christ. With honesty and hope, Confronting the Thief Within shows how we can stop trying to earn God’s love, embrace our true identity as Children of God, Persons of Worth (COGPOW), and live from a place of healing and wholeness.
