Our pastors guide us through the central beliefs and practices of the Christian faith. Who is God? Who am I? How do I pray? We address these questions and many more in these classes, starting with the basics in 101 and moving deeper in 201.

Christianity 101

Learn and grow in the foundations of the Christian faith.

Christianity 101 is a class that will help go deeper in your faith, whether you’re just now considering following Jesus or have been a Christian for years.

We will cover the foundations of our faith that are also deep mysteries, such as the understanding of God as Trinity, the grand story of salvation that runs throughout the Bible, and practices of our faith such as baptism and communion. We will also be encouraged to take our right next step in faith, whatever that might look like for each of us.

We will not only have inspired teaching from our pastors but will also be led in searching the scriptures for ourselves, discussing what we find in groups, and growing in the practice of prayer. Every week we will also make time for Q&A with our pastors. Bring your faith questions, this class will provide open space to share.

You won’t want to miss this opportunity to grow together in community. We hope to see you there!

Christianity 201

Grow in maturity as a disciple of Jesus.

Christianity 201 is an opportunity to go even deeper into what it means to be a disciple of Jesus. The word "disciple" means learner or follower. In this class, you will receive teaching from our pastors about how you can take your next steps as a follower of Jesus.

The teaching will draw from Jesus' own training of his first disciples and will focus on how we can be sent out as Jesus' present-day followers. You will receive in-depth training on how you can live out Grace Church's core discipleship pathway: Reach, Connect, Form, and Send. You will also learn about the key role that God's grace plays in the life of a Jesus follower.

This class will include both teaching and practical application. The pastors will guide you in faith practices that you'll engage with, both in class and throughout your week, experimenting with how to live out what you're learning in the class community.

You are welcome to attend Christianity 201 whether or not you have attended the 101 class. 101 is not a prerequisite for 201. If 201 feels like the right fit for your current faith journey, we would love for you to join us!
