Outreach

"Go make disciples"

Grace Church exists to reach people who are far from God by helping our neighbors experience the love of Christ through the body of Christ. We don’t just pray that people will come to church; we pray that we will go out and be the church! In the Great Commission, Jesus tells us to “go make disciples.” At Grace Church, we take seriously that one of Jesus’ favorite words is “go!” What we know as we go is that we are joining The Holy Spirit already at work in people’s lives. We desire to do whatever it takes to reach whomever God puts in our path whenever they need us without compromising the message of the God’s love expressed through Jesus Christ.

Central Grocery Store

Each Sunday, volunteers lay out a room full of donated items in Bryant Hall that includes deli items, fresh fruits/vegetables, baked good, chilled diary, and packaged meat products. Anyone in the community can shop these items for free after the 10am Sunday worship service.

Angel Tree

Grace Church Choose Recovery partners with Angel Tree Ministries, a division of Prison Fellowship, to provide Christmas gifts to children designated from a parent who is incarcerated.  Grace Church helps over 100 families every year receive support and relationship to withstand the difficulty of incarceration.

Franklin Park Elementary

Grace Church partners with Franklin Park Elementary School located on Edison Avenue in downtown Fort Myers to encourage and support the teachers, children and their families as we build and maintain relationships throughout the year. Some ways we partner are: school supplies and uniforms, teacher commissioning, teacher appreciation days, children’s gifts for Christmas, Thanksgiving dinners, and various school activities and events.

Loving the 239

Throughout the year we go out and serve our community in various ways during our Loving the 239 Neighborhood Send Days. It's a wonderful opportunity to serve as an individual, a family, a small group, or a ministry team.

Shoes of Hope

Since 2011, Grace Church has blessed hundreds of families in need through a back-to-school outreach event called Shoes of Hope. Children and youth receive brand new shoes, school supplies, and a Bible. But that's not all! During this time, volunteers wash their feet and tell them about Jesus. Dozens of children and youth have made 1st time commitments to Jesus through Shoes of Hope!
