Summary:

John N. Testimony

Detail:

Message Notes

Testimony of John N.

Step 2:  Came to believe that a power greater than ourselves could restore us to sanity.

I keep asking that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the glorious Father, may give you the Spirit of wisdom and revelation, so that you may know him better.  I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which he has called you...   Ephesians 1:17-18(a)

Notes on John's Testimony:

Possible Questions for Recovery Groups:

  1. Do you believe that God can and will restore you to sanity?  What would sanity look like for you?
  2. Insanity has been described as doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different result.  How can you begin to believe God is opening your eyes to new ways?
  3. Sanity can be defined as doing things that are proven to work.  John described his insanity.  What works is the 5 Essentials.  What is your next step into sane actions?
  4. What Step are you on right now, and what is the last thing you learned at a meeting?
