Background Information: Category 4 Hurricane Michael made landfall on Mexico Beach, Florida, as the most powerful hurricane in recorded history to strike the Florida Panhandle. Packing sustained winds of 155 miles per hour and a storm surge of up to 14 feet, it devastated communities along the Florida Coast as well as the state’s inland areas. As a weakened but extremely dangerous Category 2, Michael carried dangerous winds and rain into Georgia and the Carolinas. Hundreds of thousands are without power in the region as communities are reeling in the aftermath of the monstrous storm.

Disaster Relief Team

We deployed one Disaster Relief team from October 21-27.

Another Samaritans Purse disaster relief ministry team is forming for those impacted by Hurricane Michael. We will be serving in Panama City November 28-December 2. We have space for 6 males and 2 females.

An informational meeting will be Sunday November 18 at 1pm in room 3 (Cape Coral campus).
