GCC Food pantry
The Grace Community Center's Food Ministry is a dedicated group of volunteers who are called to provide food for anyone in our community in need. The vision statement for this ministry comes from Matthew 25:35 "for I was hungry and you gave Me food; I was thirsty and you gave Me drink; I was a stranger and you took Me in" (NKJV).
The food ministry is committed to providing our neighbors in the community with food, one of life's most basic necessities. This ministry has given thousands of pounds of food away and has grown tremendously over this very successful first year of faithful distributions.
In just ten Saturday mornings in 2009, our food ministries have given away 42,186 pounds of food to 3525 guests, including fresh eggplants, tomatoes, green peppers, avocados, jalapenos, bananas, bread, even pickles and yes, fresh mullet!
As only God could orchestrate, God consistently answers two prayers faithfully every month: fill our shelves and empty our shelves. With our local economy struggling, it has been challenging to meet the needs of our neighbors but with support, prayers, and continued faithfulness, we will continue to be a shining light in this community.

Share
We also feature the SHARE program, which continues to expand. SHARE is a non profit organization with the mission of providing Floridians with high quality meats and produce at significant savings; up to 50% off of grocery store prices. Simply sign up before the cut off date( usually the 2nd Thursday of the month) and pick up on the delivery day (usually the 4th Saturday of the month). There are no income guidelines or volunteer requirements, just a desire to make a positive difference in the world.
Meals on Wheels
The Grace Community Center is also a hub for hot meal distribution through the Meals on Wheels program in partnership with Community Cooperative Ministries Inc. Five days a week (with extras for the weekend), a nutritious meal is delivered by a team of volunteers to residents of Lee County who are unable to plan, shop for or prepare meals due to illness, disability or advanced age; regardless of the client's ability to pay.
In addition to the delivery of daily meals, we also deliver weekly or monthly HOPE (Helping Older People Eat) Bags to identified as in need of additional food items.
