Blanket Ministry

The Blanket Ministry aims to meet both the physical and spiritual needs of the homeless on the streets of Lee County. Four to six times a month, this team of volunteers goes to various locations where homeless are known to congregate and provides them with whatever need they may need, as best we can. Our thrift store is a never ending source of blankets, ponchos, shoes and boots, clothing, even mats or abandoned bubble style pool covers for additional sleeping comfort.

Small toiletries and hygiene products are always in need, and you may drop off any donations at our thrift store, Tuesday through Saturday 10am – 4pm.

Here at the Grace Community Center, we also provide free mailbox delivery services to those without an address, enabling them to receive mail and other valuable correspondence from local and state agencies. Our first guest also started getting his subscription to Mad Magazine!
