National:
Samaritan’s Purse - Our primary partner for Disaster Relief around the U.S. is Samaritan’s Purse. These are often short term relief projects within a month or two after a disaster occurs. We have worked in Biloxi after Katrina and in Atlanta after flooding. Those who have flexible schedules can be an immense help and encouragement to disaster victims immediately after they happen.
International:
Our primary focus has been on Central America.
The Shockey's - We support the Shockeys who have a ministry in Juarez, Mexico, just across the boarder from El Paso. They are training local pastors to develop Christian ministries in the region which has much crime.
Fabretto Children's Foundation - This is the U.S. funding arm of La Familia Padre Fabretto in Nicaragua. Their focus is to keep kids in school and use education as the means of breaking the cycle of poverty in this second poorest country in the hemisphere. They have 5 centers and serve over 5000 children.
IGLEMEN - This is the MethodistChurch effort to provide churches in Nicaragua. We are helping build a church in San Miguel, a very poor area of Esteli. There are currently less than 10 Methodist congregations in the whole country!
