Weekly Worship Services

CONTEMPORARY

9:41am Sunday
Music is led by a team of vocalists and includes instruments like guitars, keyboards, and drums. Services last about 65-70 minutes. Dress is casual. Holy Communion is celebrated on the first Sunday of every month and several other times throughout the year, and everyone is invited to receive.

RECOVERY | Traditional Recovery and Christian recovery

7:30am Wednesday, AA
Our “traditional” recovery programs will eventually include the12-step programs of AA, CA, NA, OA etc. At this time we currently are hosting AA.

Our Christian Recovery program will eventually be on Friday nights and will include a meal, large group testimony or lesson and time for connecting relationally with others to help people find healing and hope. The large group gathering will begin with music, a teaching or testimony offered by a leader in the community. Services will last 70-75 minutes, and dress will be casual. Before the service begins, an affordable dinner will be served in the Gathering Place. Following the large group gathering, everyone will be invited to stay for fellowship. Newcomers will be encouraged to CR101 which is a one-time small group that provides an orientation to the program.

Childcare + Children's Ministry

The nursery is open for babies and toddlers at Sunday worship services. Parents bringing children for the first time should allow extra time for registration and check-in at the Grace Kids Building.

What is a worship service like?

You will be welcomed at the front entrance by a volunteer, who will give you a handout that includes weekly announcements and an outline of the sermon.

Our services start on time and usually begin with worship music. All of the lyrics are displayed on screens. Many people will stand while they sing, but you are not required to stand or to sing. In fact, if you prefer to just observe or remain seated, that's fine with us. You might observe a baptism, a new member joining the church, or a person being commissioned to serve in ministry to others. We will usually take a minute to share important announcements, and we will collect an offering during the service. You are not obligated to give, and you will not be pressured to make a donation.

Every worship service includes a sermon preached by a live speaker, usually one of our pastors. The message will often focus on a passage of scripture and how it relates to our lives today. Every sermon is designed to be understandable, creative, challenging, biblical, and helpful. Sermons are developed by the Teaching Team, which is made up of Grace Church's pastors and other gifted communicators from all of our campuses, who meet together every week. Sermons will last between 25-35 minutes during typical worship services.

The sermon often concludes with an invitation to pray or respond in a different way. During this time, we sing another song or two, and you might observe people coming forward to kneel and pray at the altar rail. We never pressure or manipulate people to respond in a certain way; we simply provide space for people to connect with God.

A pastor or worship leader will end the service with a prayer or blessing. After the service, there are always volunteers and pastors available by the Starting Point sign and at the Info Desk to answer questions and help you get connected.
