This past week, Hurricane Dorian made catastrophic landfalls in the Northern Bahamas. Reports indicate that around half or more of all homes were damaged or destroyed in some areas. Now that Dorian has left the Bahamas, relief teams are being deployed to assist those in need.
We are excited to announce that the Cape Coral campus is partnering with World Hope International (worldhope.org) to provide relief for those persons in the Bahamas who were affected by Hurricane Dorian.
To give financially over and above your regular giving to the Hurricane Dorian Disaster Response efforts, you can do so online or by check/cash at church in the envelopes marked “Hurricane Dorian.” Alternatively, you can text "Dorian" plus an amount to 239-205-3123. Please indicate your campus on your gift. We will be collecting tarps in the lobby for the next few weeks. You can drop them off anytime the church is open.
If you are interested in volunteering, there will be several opportunities. We will know more about these opportunities in the coming days. For now, please indicate your interest in volunteering with efforts here and in the Bahamas on your lets connect card or signing up below, and we will keep you informed on upcoming opportunities.
- Pray for all those who have been impacted in the Bahamas, Puerto Rico, Florida, Georgia, and the Carolinas.
- Pray that those who are missing will be found.
- Pray that those who are mourning will be comforted.
- Pray that all first responders and volunteer workers would feel the presence of Jesus, follow the Holy Spirit, stay safe, have wisdom, compassion, empathy, and strength.
