Hurricane Irma Update

Posted by Thomas Hopkins on with 0 Comments

Dear Grace Church,

“When you go through deep waters, I will be with you. When you go through rivers of difficulty, you will not drown. When you walk through the fire of oppression, you will not be burned up; the flames will not consume you.”
Isaiah 43:2 (NLT)

We believe we’ve all found that God’s promises are trustworthy and true. Hurricane Irma loomed over us for days creating anxiety for even the most brave among us, but our good and great God was with us. What we sing at Christmas is real in September as well: “Immanuel, God is with us!” Jesus gave us the gift of confidence and courage as we waited and prayed.

So now that the storm has passed, it’s time for us to be “Jesus with skin on” for our neighbors in Southwest Florida. We are hearing that people are safe but there is still much work to be done to clean up and help our neighbors.

You may find yourself in one of two situations. If you need assistance, please click here to let us know. We will be in touch with you in the coming days to offer what assistance we can. If you are willing to help pick up, clear debris, work a chainsaw, or serve please click here.

We will be having worship this weekend at all our campuses. We look forward to a great weekend of thanksgiving for God’s protection and consecration for ministry to our community.

Your Pastors,
Jorge, Shari, Arlene, Wes, Heather, Ed, Patti, & Cindy
